Greetings from the 1/4 house:

Mike and I arrived home last evening after spending almost a week at Blistered Fingers in Sidney, Maine. Can we say, we really love our Maine Bluegrass friends! Unfortunately, like Wind Gap, the weather was much less than perfect and we did a lot of sloshing in the greasy mud as we tried to get around to visit with folks. A tractor dragged us across the field to where we sat for the rest of the weekend in a mud pit until the tractor pulled us out yesterday afternoon. Needless to say, it made for a less than comfortable first New England Festival. We have several new events scheduled for this tour and the lesson learned in all of this is that not everybody who sits in a golf cart at a festival is as reliable as Harold or Buster, so we will be far more cautious with the other new festivals that we are planning on attending.
